Due to an Orange Wind Warning issued by Met Eireann for Saturday 6th April, Coole Park will be closed all day. We will reopen on Sunday 7th April once the park has been assessed for any safety concerns. Please adhere to all park signage for your own safety.
Coole Park Nature Reserve is home to a rich variety of tree species many of which are the legacy of the Gregory family and many of which are of high conservation urgency. To celebrate National Tree Week join us for a free guided walk to learn about the history and ecology of some of our exotic and native trees and how we can preserve our woodlands for the future. Did you know that we have approximately 1500 species of moth in Ireland? And that some fly by day? And some have no wings at all! If you'd like to learn more about our beautiful array of nocturnal pollinators and how we monitor them in Coole Nature Reserve, pop in to see our display in the Visitor Centre on: FRIDAY 16th FEBRUARY.
