CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS The Visitor Centre will be closed on the following days: December 23/24/25/26 & 30/31 & January 1. The Nature Reserve will be open daily from 8am - 6pm subject to weather conditions. Please see separate post for the Coole Park Tearooms schedule. SCIENCE WEEK: PLANTS & MEDICINE Drop in to the Visitor Centre on Saturday or Sunday this week to learn about the medicinal benefits of our native and non-native flora, from the original beliefs that plants resembling body parts could cure ailments of that part to the role plants play in our modern pharmaceuticals.

Nature Art in the Park
Drop in for our Nature Art session this Saturday 11th November from 11am - 12pm. This event will be outdoors and subject to weather conditions. No booking necessary, just drop in to the Visitor Centre at 11am. Suitable for children aged 8-12 accompanied by an adult.
‘Yeats at Coole’ Guided Walk
'YEATS AT COOLE' GUIDED WALK This month marks the centenary of W.B.Yeats being awarded the esteemed Nobel Prize for Literature. Yeats spent a lot of time at Coole as a guest of Lady Gregory and relished the peace and inspiration the estate provided. Come and celebrate some of his locally-inspired poetry with us on a guided walk this Sunday 12th November and discover more about his deep friendship with Lady Gregory. No booking required, just meet at the Visitor Centre...
