PLEASE NOTE: Coole Park Tearooms will be CLOSED from Mon 30th Sept - Weds 9th October, with the coffee trailer ONLY open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm. The tearooms will then continue with their Autumn opening hours of Weds - Sun from 10am-4.30pm
Coole Park Bioblitz 2024
SAVE THE DATE! The Coole Park Bioblitz 2024 will take place on 16th & 17th August and will be a wonderful opportunity to learn how to become a Citizen Scientist. Coole Park is an incredibly rich nature reserve and we invite citizens of all ages to come and see for themselves what it has to offer and join in the activities. Stay tuned for updates on event bookings and schedule.
WORLD WETLANDS DAY 2024
Join our NPWS conservation and guide staff on a free guided walk and bird-spotting event this Friday 2nd February to learn about the ecological importance of our wetlands and the biodiversity they support. Coole Turlough is of international significance due to its unique habitat and is a valuable location for our wetland bird species as well as winter visitors. Come along and see what you can spot! Bat Walk
Come along to our Bat Walk with a NPWS Conservation Ranger to discover the mysterious world of bats and learn about their nocturnal habits. Hopefully you'll get to hear and see some of these wonderful creatures too! This event is free, but weather dependent. Please come prepared with sturdy footwear, a torch and hi-vis vest for children, and you can park in the main Visitor Centre car park in Coole Park Nature Reserve.
