Around the globe, park rangers are on the front line in the fight to protect our natural heritage. World Ranger Day offers a chance to learn about and support their vital work, which ranges from environmental campaigning to education.
To mark World Ranger Day and raise awareness we are leading a guided hike in Coole-Garryland Special Area of Conservation with a National Parks & Wildlife Service staff member. We will look at the ecology of the site and issues of environmental conservation in the 21st Century.
Come along to experience the wonderful flora, fauna and landscapes of Coole.
This is a longer walk so good footwear and weather appropriate clothing are recommended. Suitable for ages 13+. This event is weather dependent, for more information call 091 631804. Guide-dogs only. You may want to bring some snacks as the walk will take approximately 3 hours.
